Why We Ask For Your Donation
Since 1976 Community Boards has been providing San Francisco residents with peaceful and constructive ways to solve their disputes. Our mediations are accessible, affordable, and successful — many provided free of charge.
We are a community based, independent nonprofit organization. We depend on donations to help pay for our services and programs to keep mediation available to all.
We are immensely grateful for any support. All donations are tax deductible. Most people contribute between $25-$100. For us, no donation is ever too small or too large.
We keep our doors open because people like you care. Word of mouth remains our best advertising — people turn to Community Boards because family members, friends or neighbors highly recommend us.
Your donation will be wisely spent on:
- Affordable citywide mediation for all San Franciscans
- Mediations in Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish & English
- Staffing for case in-take, development & management
- Training new volunteer Community Mediators
- Conflict resolution programming for youth
- Community outreach & public education
Each year we issue our annual Honors Roll to thank and acknowledge our many volunteers, donors, supporters, and friends. Here’s our 2016 Honors Roll on Facebook.
